This this independent kitesurf course includes 9 hours private or group lessons completed over 3 days. You will learn the fundamentals of kiteboarding with a IKO certified instructor. In only 3 days you will progress from basic kite flying to attempting your first water start. This is our most popular course and most people who take this course will stand up and ride on the board for the first time. You can request lessons in Langebaan but you will be expected to pay for the instructors fuel.

Intro into the kite world; includes theory of wind (wind speed, wind direction, gusts, pressure systems) and ocean (currents, tides, rips), equipment set up and pack down, safety, and first piloting (kite control).
Intro into the water; includes large kite handling, self-launching of the kite, self-rescue and all the different body drag techniques. This level is all about making you comfortable with piloting a large kite.
Advanced body drag skills (board recovery); includes water relaunch, and intro into board skills (leg/body positioning, learning how to float in the water with the board attached to feet).
Board skills; includes, water starts and board riding techniques. This level will take everything you’ve learnt and put it together.

This course combines the Independent kitesurf package with additional hours aimed at increasing your skills so that you will safely and confidently ride with the wind.
