Dale started kiteboarding on the east coast of South Africa in 2009. He moved to Cape Town in 2011 and completed his training as an IKO certified instructor in Bloubergstrand. He started teaching for a school in Muizenberg and during Cape town’s off season he would travel to Kenya and Zanzibar to teach. Dale then acquired his IKO senior level instructor certificate and started his own kitesurf school in Cape town in 2013 called SA Kitesurf. In November 2014 he moved over to the United States and launched SA Kitesurf Adventures for the summer of 2015. Dale now operates his international kitesurf school and business in Oregon during the summer and in Florida and Cape Town during the winter. Dale has a passion for sharing his experience in kiteboarding, being in the ocean and the free spirited travel lifestyle kitesurfing brings to his life and his students.
